• Inform the teacher of any injuries prior to class.

  • No food or drinks in the practice space.

  • Shower before practice each morning, for yourself as well as others. Please refrain from wearing scents (oils, perfumes, colognes, body sprays, lotions).

  • Keep your mat, rug, towels and yoga clothes clean. Remember that a by-product of yoga is becoming more aware. Odors that offend are unwanted and distracting in our communal environment.

  • Please do not wear shoes into the practice space and leave all belongings in a cubby. Turn off or mute your beeping electronic devices.

  • No talking to other practitioners, while in the room, as it’s distracting to both involved as well as disruptive to those around you. Please relegate conversations to the hallway and keep voices low as a courtesy to other practitioners in the space.

  • No trying to assist others to “help out” the teacher, unless asked by the teacher.

  • If you have questions or need assistance, please make eye contact with the teacher and wait patiently.

  • Ladies, please take rest during the heaviest part of menstruation.

  • The shala is closed to observe the new and full moon days so please take rest on those days. . See moon day schedule.
